At the Abegweit Conservation Society, our goal is to be self-sustaining. Because our Society and its activities are not financed via government or other agencies or organizations, funds raised will be used to further our work in protecting and enhancing our natural environments.
While some fundraising and awareness raising campaigns are for a specific duration, our effort is more lasting. This long-term approach to requesting support reflects the nature and extent of the critical work we have assigned ourselves to do. So, for example, we cannot just clean a waterway once and think it will stay that way. It won’t! Keeping our waterways healthy will be an ongoing effort, just as it has been for generations and will be for generations to come. Similarly, stocking rivers and protecting forests and other natural elements require sustained devotion. We simply cannot afford to let up. Here’s how you can help:
Become a member
Join our conservation crusade by becoming a member of the Abegweit Conservation Society. Members are individuals or corporations that offer donations of $10 or more per month to support our protection and enhancement efforts. Monthly giving allows us to plan ahead and provides a steady stream of support to continue our work.
The Abegweit Conservation Society values your support. As a charitable organization, we rely on donations to fund the important work we are doing on behalf of all Islanders. Your support will empower us to nurture and enhance our vulnerable ecosystems.
Show your support by purchasing and wearing moccasins and clothing bearing the distinctive Abegweit Conservation Society logo.
